UNUM RETIREES ~ Volunteers
by Beverly J. Dahms

The Unum Retirees have been contacted by ITNAmerica and Presumpscot Regional Land Trust to assist them with mailings and other
volunteer activities.

We would like to give you a brief explanation of their community services.  If anyone would like to become a volunteer for either of
these organizations, please contact them directly.

ITNAMERICA - Dignified transportation for Seniors

VISION - ITNAmerica is the first and only national non-profit transportation system for America’s aging population.
Our model marries the power of information technology and the strength of local, grassroots support.  Our goal is to create an
efficient and financially sustainable solution to the transportation needs of seniors and their families through the world.

-ITNAmerica imagines a day when all seniors and adults with visual impairment will have access to transportation when they want it.

The Unum Retirees have also been contacted by Ashley Kuntz, Volunteer Development Associate from the MS SOCIETY.
She is looking for a few helping hands around their office in Falmouth as they are approaching their busy ‘event season’.
They will need help with a variety of things: preparing mailings, organizing paperwork, answering phones, data entry, etc.
They would love to have regular volunteers for an hour or two each week and a small list of ‘on call’ helpers they could
contact as needs arise.
After speaking with Ashley there are a couple of events in August that they would love to have some help.
One is the annual Bike ride and then Harborfest which will be held on August 17-19.  If there is any interest in a regular ‘shift’
or on-call work, volunteers can contact her at
Ashley.Kuntz@nmss.org or 781-7960.  They are located at 74 Gray Road in Falmouth.
