“Old Sayings/Phrases”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A busy girl is a happy girl”.

Even to this day when my life is feeling a little stressed out I think of this quote that Bob Cash was always throwing
out at me and think, hey if I am busy and stressed then I must be happy.

From Bev Nye

“Whatever you are, be a good one.”

This saying supposedly was said by Abraham Lincoln to his son.

The following is an email I received from Glen Faulhaber (I didn’t include his attachment, however, if you’d
like to see it, please let me know and I’ll send it along to you) :

“When I saw the list of sections and saw "Old Sayings Phrases", my first reaction was to think of the "Salada Taglines"
on certain Salada tea bags.

My wife says that I'm more of a "packrat" than a "collector", and I've been collecting these Salada Taglines for about
50 years or so.  My accumulation of different taglines now numbers in the thousands which is greater than even
Salada shows in their historical listing.

Their taglines are normally a humorous play on words.  I will attach an inventory listing of the Salada taglines in my
collection to give you a better idea of what they consist of (in case you haven't seen them), but please let me know
if you are unable to download the listing and I'll attempt to send it in a different format.

If you would like to see a little history of the Salada Taglines, just log on to http://www.salada.com and first click
on the heading of "Tea Experts" and then "History" to see how these came to be, along with a listing of what they
have records of.  They have very few that are not in my collection, and my collection contains many that they don't
have listed.  If you should decide to use any of these Tagline sayings, I would recommend that you list the source
as being Salada Tea, since they probably have them copyrighted.

I'm not aware of your history with UNUM, but as for me, I joined Union Mutual L.I. Co. in 1957 and left to go with
New England Life in 1970 at about the time that the new HO building(s) were being constructed, and prior to the
Demutualization of the Company and the switch to UNUM.  I started as Manager of the Mortgage Accounting
Department under Myron Hilton, and ended up as Director of Accounting Services when Custer Brimigion took
over other responsibilities.

Good luck, good health, and please let me know if I can provide additional information.
