The Unum Retirees have been busy assisting several Non-Profit Organizations during the first
six months of 2010.  Following is a list of where and what we have been doing.

            National Multiple Sclerosis Society - 2 mailings of about 1250 letters; compiling registration
packets for the walk; 1 mailing of about 1300 newsletters;

            United Way of Greater Portland - 1 mailing of approximately 3000 letters; 1 mailing of about
1000 notes cards;

            Easter Seals of Maine - making Autism Pins to be sold at local CVS stores; assemble packets
for the walk; Goody Bags for walk

            Youth Alternatives Ingraham, South Portland - 1 mailing of 5000 letters.

I want to send a special thanks to the volunteers:  Jean Allen, Ann and Mark Andrews, Becky Bibber,
Ann and Carl Comstock, Ann and Bob Coughlan, Mike Crowell Mary Guy, Cheryl Jensen, Mary Ann Lowe,
Julie Martin, Martha Murphy, Bette Robicheaw, Jean Thomas, Joyce Trainor and Anne Waeker.  If not for
these willing volunteers we would not be able to support our community.

There are many other volunteers who are working in the local communities.  Please share your stories.

If anyone is interested in joining the phone tree and helping out with any of the non-profits, we usually
have 3-5 days notice, please give me a call at 839-4371or e-mail me a BDahms1@maine.rr.com
