If you know of any recent retirees who may not be aware of the organization, let them know about us and how they can join by contacting
us through the website:  www.unumretirees.org  or contacting Steve Bailey at 846-6648 or sebailey@maine.rr.com . We received a list of 
2011 retirees from Unum and we will be sending them an invitation to join the organization in our March mailing.

 I hope 2012 is a good year for all of you. The February lunch meeting at Events on Broadway was extremely well attended with 88 members 
signing up for the meal. We were happy to see a few new people in attendance. Linda Levesque, Unum Vice President of Benefits, 
answered questions about the changes to the retiree health plans from Blue Cross to UnitedHealthcare. Fortunately retirees will see 
little or no impact. Please send me any comments about the meeting and suggestions for future speakers. 

The next meeting is scheduled for June 19 at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth. We had a great time last year with sandwiches, 
salads, and drinks. We are again planning a selection of games for everyone to enjoy. Add the date to your calendars. There will be no 
charge for attending. The invitation will be mailed in late May and we hope to increase the numbers from last year’s 70. 

Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for September 25 at the Italian Heritage Center.  I hope those who came for the first time in February 
will make all of our meetings.  Your friends love to see you. We promise to comment that you haven’t changed a bit since you retired.

We are looking for your feedback about our activities. Please email me with any comments or suggestions about how we can make the 
organization a better one.
