I
recently took on the task for publishing the Unum Retirees Newsletter from Bob
Anastasoff. Bob will remain
Co-Webmaster
and Publisher of the on-line Newsletter and will be my support system!
He will also continue to pass along the “Dearly Departed”
information.
I
wanted to start my new job by first asking you for input.
This Newsletter is published for YOU
and I would love to hear from you
about what type of “news” you would like to read.
Articles on special trips and personal stories will continue to be published. Are there other types of information you would like to see?
I am hoping to include the following new sections. This will only work if I receive your support and input:
• A section would be titled “Special Childhood Memories”
I
would love to cover topics that will tie in with the time of year the Newsletter
is published. (Such as: March Newsletter-include
“snow/winter” stories/; July
Newsletter-include summer stories/ memories that might include your first
summer job; a special summer
vacation….; November Newsletter-include
childhood Thanksgiving/Christmas stories)
• A section would be titled “Unum Stories and Memories”
These could be “special” or “funny” events that occurred in your early years at Unum. (I’m sure everyone has a story to tell!)
• A section to include “Old Sayings/Phrases”
An
example would be “A dog has so many friends because he wags his tail and not
his tongue” (Elva Brooks used to have hundreds
of these!)
• Possibly a section on a Significant Birthday/Anniversary, if you’d like.
These stories don’t need to be long……just a paragraph would do!
We would love any pictures that would go along with your story!
I’m looking forward to hearing your input AND receiving articles from you!
